Man you guys are getting ripped. Unless you're gettin a whole bunch of like extra paintings on your car - multicolored. My friend got a paint job on his 92 camaro, white with 2 blue racing stripes for 1300. It's probably the nicest paint job in this area. Looks sweet.

Yeah, thanks guys. I'm gonna keep looking. My guy friends are trying to hook me up. we'll see, I've got a green integra kinda like one of you guys, I'm trying to get it done in Pearl-white like the Prelude, someone said it'd cost more? Then I was thinking about gunmetal.. but it'd look weird. Ahh I dont know! and.. someone else said to get someone to strip off all the paint and take it to macco to paint it cuz they usually just put primer and paint over cars thats why it sucks? I dont know!

Stay away from macco and don't listen to anybody who tells you different. The reason they suck is b/c they use cheap materials and they don't take time to do all the steps involved with a good paint job. And yes any pearl paint will up the price b/c it takes longer to paint the car(extra step involved) and the paint is more expensive. Some paints already have the pearl mixed in so the extra step is not required but the paint is more so the price will go up. Cheap colors are black, white, blue etc. Expensive paints are # most expensive is silver metalic then red, green metalic, and anything metalic pretty much. I would say paint it back the stock color that is going to be the cheapest thing to do, b/c they will not have to paint the door jambs and under the hood and in the hatch etc.

but i hate my original color.. it's green! i cant do much with it.. I think white is okay and my interior is like, black so if i get black..in florida..wooo hot!

if u wanna go white, get the champ white from the ITR. its not pearlish, so its easier to do, but looks SICK.

whtteg is rite...maaco is SHIT. if u were up in wa, 'm gett my kit painted by my frien for only the cost of paint, so i'd see if i could hook u up w/ a deal. but...FL, sorry :D

another thing integragurl is that maaco will not paint your engine compartment or door jams or inside the trunk, they will more or less mask the outside hit it with some shit paint/primer and send you packing and pocket their 300 bucks

macco does fine if you do the prep work yourself. if you sand your car down, bondo the dents, primer it yourself then they'll do a fine job when all they have to do is paint...

Exactly, that what my dad did with his van - mostly cuz it's red and red is the most expensive. But they still don't paint your door jams etc just the outside.

I agree, you get what you pay for. Maaco has packages that are under warrenty for five years. Sure you you get the $250 job, what makes you all think that it will be the same quality as their $1000 packages. As for the jams and stuff, they will paint them, you just have to request it and they charge you for it. I have a buddy who had a celcia painted there, and right before his warrenty was up, the thinned out the paint, brought it back, and they redid it for free. But, as with everything else it boils down to YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
