So I have had this code P0442 for a long time and I just kept clearing it. Just went out to find the leak and found it and thought maybe it may help someone else. The attached picture (at an angle) shows the hole in the small line attached to the fuel neck filler exactly behind where the plastic wheel well cover touches it. Just ordered a new one from rockauto for about 65 shipped.

Yeah, when you have a small leak, it's usually the cap......but it could also be any number of things.....sometimes you get lucky during a visual inspection(have replaced a lot of fillpipes up here in the northeast), and sometimes only a smoke test will point it out....

I had the same issue and replaced the gas tank filler neck, looked similar to yours. Did not solve the problem, I had to also replace the o-rings on the vacuum lines at the purge valve solenoid.

Greasyhog? Or anyone else that has changed the filler neck on an intrigue.
How did you make out with the aftermarket filler neck from Rockauto?
Did you get the Dorman or Spectra part and how well did it fit / line up.
Thanks

Gas started dripping bad when filling up, so had to bite the bullet.
Had an evap code P0442 on and off for a year or so.
Replaced filler neck with a spectra FN717, fit was fine. Had trouble getting a 3/4 inch broken off bit of vent pipe out of the plastic vent line from the tank. Patience and a bit of lube.
Can you spot the defect?. Why Car makers make safety items like fuel and brake lines out of material that disintegrates before all else is beyond me?
