my air conditioning was working last week on my honda civic. now i turn it on, and it's just outside air temperature.

i bought a recharge kit for R134a type systems. but the refrigerant wasn't transfering out of the can to the car.

anyone know why? i was wondering if it was something electrical or did i buy a cheap-o refresh system or whaaat?

it's 90 degrees out and i'm melting!

Were you trying to put it in the low side or the high side of the system?

My guess it wasn't going in because you had no vaccum.

i was putting it in the low side of the system. only a small amount will transfer. i have a pressure guage and the reading is high.

i noticed the compresser clutch isn't spinning at all. i don't know if it's lack of oil, electrical, or time to get new parts.

if anyone ran into the same problem, lmk. thanks.

thanks for your help. i got the car taken in for a diagnostic. they saw i had a blown fuse, changed it, and it blew after the AC was on for 1 minute. they said i now i have an electrical problem and have to take it to an electrical diagnostic center.
