Low 11s.
EXPECTED mid/low 10s on a larger shot but never got a good run through.

13.8@101mph, with no traction.

shooting for 12's once I get back to the track with the new mods.

Some day 10's........with a blower.

14.6 @ 98 MPH.

This was with a broken intercooler, and someone that couldn't shift the best, me. I feel the car was capable of faster.

How about "Layla will see the inside of a trash compactor before she sets one wheel on a dragstrip". That's not her place, and I intend to keep it that way.

However, I did some research into her former owner. As it turns out, the deceased gentleman was a HUGE MG collector. Layla was his ninth (NINTH!) MGB and thirteenth MG. She was (of all things) his back-up club racer in the mid-seventies and has turned laps there on the Keyhole course at 2min, 7seconds. That's a bit over a 60mph average on this winding course.

more accurately this thread should read; " how fast is your car in a straight line" a better judge of performance... how fast is your car around a track

Around the track, at the twisties, on the corners... Goddammit who cares? Im tired of hearing/reading that crap ever f'in place I go:twak: :chair::biggrin2: :comprage1

I got a long way to go, but just wait for what I have in store when going to the track:naughty:

I suck at driving, plus my nitrous kit only turns on at WOT. That doesn't help the already present traction related issues (I think I also need a clutch). I ran a best of 14 flat at palmdale. recently i returned w/ mods and ran a 14.1 sec. 1/4 mile at a higher mph. It was in 94 degree weather though. The 2700 ft. elevation doesn't help either. I guess if i corrected it, it might look ok, but I just get trash talk from everyone that i know for running those times w/ my car. BTW I ran out of the juice before that run. i don't know what it would have run w/ the juice.

WOW, yea...Please go back and do better:biggrin2: hehe, seriously though man, you can pull a MUCH better time than a 14.1. And PLEASE tell me that the 14 flat was WITHOUT nitrous...?

The 14 flat was w/o nitrous. My gtech times at sea level w/ street tires are a best of 14 flat at 110 mph. I have the gtech pro so it is actually rather accurate. Palmdale is at high altitude, and rather hot. Most cars run 5 tenths slower then normal.

back to me...

on a really hot day, i ran 15.89, but my 60 ft. times sucked.
hard.
real hard.

for example... i've run 2.4 60ft. w/ 16.04
2.6 60ft. w/ 15.89

so, with better 60ft times, i'll be mid to low 15s.

i'm also waiting on a new intake to be built, and moving my battery.

i also plan to run stickier tires on lighter rims, but that's everyone's excuse.

it's not a straight liner, and honestly, the best part was the huge turnaround at the end of the track, tires squealing in 2nd gear... mmm...

Yeap, I know all about Palmdale. Lancaster is my mother's hometown, and I have a TON of family living out there. I've ran at Palmdale before.
The GTech Pro is accurate...on the MPH. The times though, are ATROCIOUSLY INACCURATE. Your MPH there sounds VERY good. 110mph...But a 14.0 second quarter? I don't even know that a 14 @ 110 is possible, honestly. Unless you pull like a 4.0 second 60'
Seriously though, with a 110mph you would be well into the 12s. The GTech is good as long as you look at it from the right perspective. It's good for telling you what kind of improvements you're getting from mods b/c it's consistent. And it's good at giving you a fairly accurate quarter mile MPH. But it's horrible for quarter mile times. Either way, my earlier advice stands...Get back to the track and do better:bigthumb:

Yes, you are another underachiever:icon16: Please go back and immediately cut a 2.0 60'! What elevation are you at anyways?

Hell if I know, whatever the elevation of Topeka, KS is. That's where the track that I've raced at before is. They let you start in the groove on your tracks, Self?
