Try cleaning the windshield with glass cleaner and wiping the wiper blades with rubbing alcohol.

I can check to see if there are any open recalls on your vehicle, if you like. Please send me the last 8 digits of your VIN in a private mesage.

Try cleaning the windshield with glass cleaner and wiping the wiper blades with rubbing alcohol.
Clean windshield/wipers is not the issue. Tried this first, then replaced wipers and still have the problem. Maybe my explanation should state herky jerky movement instead of chatter.

I was thinking that I had heard of this recall before, I appreciate your help.

Good morning,
At this time, I do not see any open recalls associated to your vehicle (the windshield wiper motor recall has already been done on this vehicle). Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Yes. There is a big difference in those two. Chatter implies wiper blade is sticking to windshield. Herky jerky implies a motor issue. More info, is always better.
You can always try a used, cheap junkyard wiper motor to see if the result is the same. I always try the cheap scenarios first.

*" The contact wheel inside the gearbox is covered with grease, and caused intermittant contact, which causes the stutter. I cleaned mine after reading about this here 3 years ago, and its been fine ever since."
