Oxygen Sensors

I want to change my bank 1 oxygen sensors on my 2001 Silverado 5.3. My understanding there are two on my exhaust and they are the same, if this is true do any one know the part number for the Denso, or which one would you recommend.:screwy:

advance auto has these for 68.oo ea......... or you can get another brand. make sure these are direct fit/proper connector.

not all that complicated on what the part number is . just call and give your vehicle details. the 5.3L engine O2 sensors used cover quite a few model years .

the upstream sensors are the most important on engine management.

I replaced both of my oxygen sensors with the Denso 234-4012, that's what was on there. But i'm still getting code P1133. What else could be the problem.

Check for any exhaust leaks upstream of bank 1 sensor 1.

the driverside upsteam O2 sensor is not switching at the proper rate. the voltage must swing 300-600mv at a rate that keeps the computer happy.

this is driverside issue, what can cause this is intake leaks,fuel regulator diaphram leaking fuel,PCV hoses leaking/cracked,and even an exhaust leak on that side which can be the exhaust manifold bolts to engine that do break.

other things like damaged wires/connector in the sensor circuit can cause this.
