Tamiya JGTC R33 Skyline "street car"

Haven't built a car model since high school, so I thought I'd give one a shot to break my routine. I'm a huge follower of auto racing, mostly F1 and LeMans, and I always think, "man I'd love to drive one of those on the street" haha. So I took Tamiya's 1/24 "KURE" JGTC R33 Skyline and built it as a "street car".
Used some bits of aftermarket like a Tamiya PE set for the brake rotors, pedals, and grills, a Takata seat harness, don't know the brand, and some Volk CE28 wheels.
I've built it using the same techniques as when I build planes. I don't like clean models, so this car has been "driven". The clear is satin and has more of a sheen in person than pics show, but it's far from showroom shiny obviously. Everything is weathered up, bottom of the front bumper is scraped up from bottoming out, etc.
The car is finished in a satin clear, and has more sheen in person than these pics show.

Even though it still looks a little bit over the top to be a street racer, its built exceptionally well. Great job on the weathering and details. I def would drive it.

A very mean looking skyline. The wheels you´ve chosen are a perfect match!
I´d like to see a wip of the way you made the interior floor. That´s fantastic!:eek7:

That looks great! I love it! I rarely like race-to-street builds but yours is just beautiful! The weathering is perfect, it really adds a lot to the build. I love the wheel options, too. Just freaking beautiful! I too would love to learn about how you did it.

Thanks guys! I really enjoyed this build, and even though I'm a plane guy I feel like I've opened pandora's box because I've bought several more car kits to build haha.
Look to see more of me around here!
