04 x-type no reverse

I recently added trans fluid purchased form jag almost immedietly lost reverse. The engine started to shake a bit while in revers and no reverse. I took the transmission out and took it to a trans guy. he opened it up and found notthing wrong with it. I put it back and still no reverse. The car has no transmission leaks or any odd noises. Can someone please help solve this problem. Thanks

Before you removed the trany when you were draining,refilling the fluid did you open the port on the side of the trany to check the level? If loosened the wrong bolt by mistake that is next to the check port you can loose trany functions. I read this on another Jag forum with pictures. Check out JAG FORUM and read all the threads about X-types. I will try to find them and cut-paste them for you but no promises.
