Can I install a used ecu from a donor truck of the same make and model into my Tahoe. is there a relearn procedure or is it plug and play so to speak?

One from another truck does not work good or run riht or even start.
Most of the time they have to be reproagramed to VIN and mileage.

When you buy a rebuilt ECM they will program it for you.

It will come programmed, although it must be calibrated with proper parameters. Must use the Tech II to flash those parameters. Dealer.....

when you purchase the parts store pcm/ecm you must answer the questions before the unit is shipped. this includes vin # and other info . then it works.

if it don't work then they will take care of the problem.
