what to bring back from Japan?

My girlfriend will be in Japan for a few weeks, what are some hard to find modelling items that I should ask her to bring back for me? Unfortunately, the suitcase isn't big enough for models.

Plenty of finishing supplies like compounds, waxes, cloths, small brushes, or any of those tamiya modeling tools that are ridiculously expensive online.
Maybe even some Studio27 stuff if you have any cars that can benefit from them.

yeah magazines would be great... Young Version is a good magazine i buy every month...
get some kits where it would be hard to get.... and get lots of SPRAY CANS... cheaper

not sure if the spray cans will be ok for the flight home, but definitely a bunch of magazine and some tools. Any good recommendations from you folks in Japan for hobby shops in Tokyo or Chiba? Thanks!

Tamiya Enamels are available in New Zealand, and they're just as easy to find as acrylics.

"Borrow" some people from Tamiya and keep them at your house. Just feed them a little once in a while and make them mold models for you 24/7

Buy anything you want from there. Just forget about the paints, glue, thinner, etc. Because those stuff cannot be aboard to plane.:rolleyes: (as long it's flammable stuff are not allow in plane.) Hope to see you bring nice cool stuff back.:D

the bottle paint go for 180 yens the 23 ml and 150 yens for the 10 ml, man you guys are getting ripped off, i guess you get charge for shipping them to the states after all they are hazmat.

actually, we WERE talking about a 3 some, but that is for another message board. BTW, no one here knows a good model shop in either Tokyo or Chiba? Else, I'll just end up ordering everything from HLJ and have it deliver to her house then.
