In one of the other forums people claim a manual 94+ Ls Integra can beat a 99+ V6 manual mustang. Am i the only person who thinks this sounds un reasonable?

I compared the two on MSN autos and I think the Mustang will win. The Integra LS has a 140 hp I4 while the Mustang has a 193 hp V6. I don't think there is much of a chance for the Integra LS. I'll try to get a 0-60 time for my car. I found on the internet that it does 0-60 in 7.6 seconds. Thats probably in a manual though, and mines an automatic.:(

This kid is full of shit up to his ears!!
if not...he needs to prove it(pix)
and the weight point someone brought up earlier is basically what it comes down to! and driver
I think that a stock LS would loose to the mustang...
But i'm 99.9% positive the GS-R would NOT loose to the v6 mustang!!
Seeing how i put down an auto '98 mustang GT on the drag strip!!:bigthumb:

The driver definately has a lot to do with it, along with the weight. The 6 cyl. stang doesn't have the power to carry the weight as good as opposed to a stang with higher hp, the GT or Cobra. The same goes for the Integra, the LS doesn't have the power to carry the weight as good as opposed to the GS-R. In the end, it comes down to the better shifter and the fact that the Mustang does indeed have more power than the LS Integra.

I would have to say the Mustang has more torque (don't know for a fact), they aren't racing on slicks, most likely street tires, ones a '94 and the other is a '99 engine, they both prolly running regular unleaded with a 6 and 4 cyl., and the cars prolly aren't too far apart in weight, since the new mustang bodies are so much lighter than they used to be, but the mustang is still heavier. Say you give them the same experience in driving, then it comes down to the mustang with more HP, or the Integra being lighter weight. If you don't give them the same experience, then it's a toss up of who'll win.

Thanks for winning the hypocrite of week award. By the way, I believe you're referring to the only person in this thread that seemed to indicate the Integra would be highly unlikely to have a V6 wedged into it.

You may want to take a look at the screen name on that one... He's an Integra owner. So now that I've established you cannot read, and you're a hypocrite, I'll go about ignoring the rest of your posts. :thefinger:
FYI... The newer Mustang's are not all that light. The SN95 series weighs in about 25-50lbs more than the 99+. The Fox bodies from 87-93 are 100-200lbs lighter than the new Mustang's, and the 79-86 cars were another 50lbs lighter than the 87-93. That brings us to the Mustang II's which were a good 200lbs lighter than the 79-86, and you have to go clear back to 73 before you run into a platform that's heavier than the next platform.
I'll stick the the platforms in the past 15yrs, based on lightest Mustang V8 from 1985-2003
1985 3000lbs
1986-1988 3050lbs note: coupe 5.0 was about 3000lbs
1989-1993 3075lbs note: coupe 5.0 was about 3025lbs
1994-1995 3250lbs
1996-1998 3275lbs
1999-2003 3225lbs
Knock off about 200lbs for the 3.8L or 2.3L.
Lighter
1974-1978
1964-1966
1979-1986
1967-1970
1987-1993
1994-1998
1999-2003
1971-1973
Heavier
The Integra weighs in at about 2500lbs. As light as the lightest Mustangs ever made. The fastest time I have EVER heard out of a stock Integra LS was a 15.2. The fastest I've EVER heard out of a stock 99+ V6 is 14.9. Add a V6 to the Integra, assuming it's a decent one and I would hope the Integra would win. If it's stock, the Mustang has the advantage.

It's people like you that make the sport more enjoyable. I have more respect for someone like who, even if your driving a Honda, then some of the schmucks that drive domestic cars. Now it's not just Honda drivers that people hate. It's more of the uneducated guy who falls for the "ricer" approach, that can be applied with any car.
I going to quote Skyline, cause I like what he said.

I paid $12k, It was owned by a British Airways pilot from '95 till I bought it last year. Had $12k worth of reciepts of work that had been done to it since he had it. It had a brand new NISMO clutch, R34 bb turbos, Blitz Boost controller, and 3 1/2" NISMO exhaust. And a extra set of 3 piece Panasport rims that go for $700. The car had only 32k miles on it. Interior is perfect. Body had 2 small dings, and some rust. I am tackleing the rust right now.
I plan on painting the car by the end of the summer. I do all my own work, it save a lot of money, plus if I screw up I can only blam myself.
I am planning on a turbo up-grade next year, the car should put out 500hp. 1/4 mile is not its strong point, but it will do it pretty well. It is a driving machine, right now I am debating on buying one to race. So I will bring 2 GTRs back to the states, but then I would have to sell my Stang. I am kind of torn right now.

If it was only that easy. I have built the Stang, I get to attached to my cars. That is my biggest downfall:frown:
If I can get a good price for the Stang, I will let it go. Tey have a couple of R32 GTRs here, that are full roll caged, engins modded, suspension set up that I can buy for 16k. I have a couple weeks worth of work on the Stang to get it ready to sale, but it should be able to pull that amount of money here. We will see:smile:

I have seen them for sale for 28k, but that was a bone stock one. Normal price would be about 33k.
After it said and done, mine will cost me about 25k when I bring it back, going though MotoRex of course.
