Tamiya Porsche 935/78 Martini - LeMans 1978

I just finished my first project for 2012 - Tamiya Porsche 935/78 - Moby Dick.

Itīs my first Porsche finished and I am starting to like Porsches more and more.. This is the car driven by Rolf Stommelen and Manfred Schurti in the 1978 Le Mans. I decided to weather it a bit to make it look like it has been racing for the whole 24 hours and for myself I am really happy with the result !

The kit - The kit is as good as any other Tamiya-kit.. Itīs a simple kit with not much detail but a good starterkit. I decided to build a full rollcage since the model only is only halfcage.

Here comes the pictures - Enjoy and thanks for watching !

I, too, am happy with the result. Looks like it was a rough 24 hours!

Building is nice. But in 1978 the race was dry and warm.:smooch:

Hey! Building the same car, my favorite racecar of all time. Very inspiring. I'm gonna do a red MOMO one next that became the Martini rival years later of the same kit

indeed, weathering is far too dark and heavy IMO

well done Rickard_Olsson!!!
I like a lot this car but i'm not a big fan of this kind of weathering.
but this is not a demerit for your great job.
If you are satisfied with your model, that;s the only thing it matters.
the details on the weathering are awesome by the way.
