2008 Ford Taurus X SEL 3.5 with approx 100k new oil change previously the truck ran great; I have replaced cylinder 4 with a new spark plug and switched the cylinder 4 coil pack with the cylinder 5 coil pack. I am still getting a PO304 cylinder 4 misfire detected. I never saw any codes prior to the truck running rough yesterday. I scopped and found; PO351, PO352, PO354, PO304 I cleared the codes and the only one showing now is PO304. I have been searching for manuels and help with diagrams with no success. Any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to find a Haynes or Chilton repair manual from local parts stores. If you're looking for something more along the lines of a Ford Factory Service Manual, you might consider a subscription to Alldatadiy.com. The information they have for modern Fords is directly from the factory service manual. And if you are looking for just a diagram or two related to the ignition system for your Taurus X, send me a Private Message with the request and an e-mail address and I'll send you a PDF or two.

Would you be up for the challenge of moving a couple of fuel injectors around, similar to what you tried with the spark plug and coil pack? Or do you happen to have access to a cylinder leak down tester?

Rod,
I have searched far and wide for the Chilton and Haynes manuels only to be told they don't make them for my vehicle. I have since replaced all of the spark plugs and there is no change. I will check out Alldatadiy.com I payed for the on line RepairSurge and found it was just a great place to park my money. As for moving the fuel injectors I will try I found the wires are very short

Thanks Again for your help Rod,

Movaughn

For a online manual try your local library website, see if they have EBSCO HOST, if so they should have a link called ARRC (Auto Repair Reference Center). It is in the line of a Haynes or Chilton manual.

You could also call the Library and they should be able to tell you if they have it available.

Thanks All,

The problem was the computer and it was under warranty.
