I've been using my moms 08 versa and since i got a job my mom gave me a budget of 10,000 to choose a car. I've been doing some research on cars i want to get. Here is a list from most want to least want.
1.2006 VW Passat
2.2007 scion tc
3.2006 civic/mazda3
4.2007 nissan altima
Now given the list can anyone give me a opinion on the cars i listed? Pro's and con's?i dont mind doing maintenance on a car and even getting dirty. So speak ur mind. Also sorry for any grammer spelling ect im on a phone

Firstly, WELCOME! :D
Next, I would steer clear of the VW - they are notoriously EXPENSIVE to repair.
Depending on your age, insurance costs might play a LARGE role in your choices - you may want to start doing online quotes just to see how expensive its going to be. The Scion TC may carry higher insurance costs since it's a 2-dr. If I had to pick for myself out of your list, I would say Civic (as long as its the sedan) or Altima. The Civic is going to get better gas mileage, so that may also play a role in your final decision.
Make sure you keep us updated in your search!

First of all I would like to congrats you for getting your first car!!!
as you have only the following options:
2005 Subaru Forester 2.5X
2005 Suzuki SV650S
1997 Honda Civic EX Coupe
1995 Diamondback Sorrento
If I were you I prefer "Suzuki SV650S" because of its good mileage.you should check the conditions of all and pick one which is in excellent condition.

I think perhaps you confused my personal "garage" with the Thread Starter's selections above. ;)

Are you going to have to haul people or luggage around? If not then I would get the Scion tC. I had one as my 1st car and they are HELLA fun to drive. And the back seat room is really large for a coupe. And the trunk is huge! If you're gonna need a sedan, I would go for the VW or maybe a Toyota Corolla S (Sport). Hope I helped! :smokin:

All the cars you have chosen are good but Nissan Ultima is the best one amongst there. Its really great for the people who has very basic use of them. And as you have mentioned, you are having a budget of almost $10000, this is going to be the finest choice for you. Still I would suggest you to be specific about you requirements and then only choose your car. This way, you will surely come up with something which will fulfill your requirements in best possible way.

Speediva, I couldn't have said it better myself. I would add a Toyota Corrolla though. You don't see alot of repair requests for 'em on this or any other forum. Good luck and make sure ya let us know whatcha get.
