This was the only model I finished last year, and only got around to taking photos today. The shame of it. :shakehead I went with the Bahrain version as it was where they scored a one, two :iceslolan to open the year.

Basically out of the box except for the seat belts. Not the smoothest of builds. But that was due to my skills, or lack thereof and I got there in the end. Had to strip the paint once, which was also an educational first. Loads of decals on this one. A good learning experience for sure :)

Cheers

Hi

I think it looks good. Perhaps it would improve with a better stance of the front wheels. The positive camber should really be the other way around, but else ok.

Great looking car.
Can't really see anything wrong with apart from the stance of the front wheels, as Flemming already pointed out.

I think this build came out very well.

Clean built! I also have this kit somewhere in the pile and quite curious about how the Tami TS85 or Zero F60 red turned out on this model, but I guess all I have seen was painted in solid red. Very nice work anyway!

Very clean build and good job on the photos too. Considering it's OOB you've got great results.

Thank You all for your comments. Appreciate them all.

As for the wheels? The top suspension arm is one piece for both sides. In hindsight I think I should have cut it in half to make the arms a bit shorter??? Something to try next time.

what paint did you use?

I started out using Zero F60, but i had trouble getting an even coat of the red and looked even more uneven depending on the light. So i scrapped that idea, removed the paint, re-primed and ran some Tamiya X-7 through the airbrush until i was happy. Then also put a couple of clear coats on too.

The Black was a mix of Gloss Black and 20% XF-56 (Metallic Grey) and I have to say I really liked how that turned out. Will use that again for sure.

Cheers

Nice build.

Question: did the kit come with decals for the inside faces of the tyres?

Nice build.

Yep they did come with enough to do the insides. But for the life of me I can not remember / realise why I did not do them  Thanks for picking it up. Looks like have 8 more decals to do.

I canīt see any "lack of skills" while looking at that fantastic model!
Very well done!
