I have a '89 Buick LeSabre custom...the problem is the gas pedal has dropped to
the floor and does not seem to connect to the throttle body. I can move the pedal
up and down by hand--but there is no action on the throttle at all. I assume there
must be a spring or connection somewhere that has come loose.
this is my only form on transportation...Help Please
Thanks for Your help

Possibly the cable broke although unlikely. But with that age I wouldn't rule it out. Most likely a linkage clip came off at the throttle body. (under the air cleaner).

I agree..cable broke, or came off the pedal or the throttle plate linkage....

Hey Thanks so much Y'all...
yea, i do believe it is the broken cable thing--
i tried to remove the gas pedal; but haven't
had any luck.
I think i have something to tell the mechanic
at any rate, so I can get some idea of cost.
Again...
Thanks so much
