I was reading up on old V8 engines and it appears Pontiac produced some cracking good V8s..
There was also a report of a Pontiac Hemi which successfully was made and tested, but never made it into mass production.
I did a search and got this...

Now I know that Ford too built a Hemi called the BOSS 429 (BOSS 9 for short) for a very short period of time. Now however the BOSS 9 lives on through Jon Kaase. He makes reproduced BOSS 9 engines.
Is there anyone who makes the Pontiac Hemi?

There's an old link showing that these folks build SOHC Pontiacs, which allows for a hemi combustion chamber

Thanks for the link.. However the site isn't exactly well designed and it appears that they'll build you the engine if you ask for it. But they're not specialized in it like Kaase is for the BOSS-9.
I'm in no way saying they couldn't build one. Its like a GP (General Practitioner) is knowledgeable enough to perform surgery, but we always feel better if a specialist does it.
