Side Impact Beams

I own a 1995 Plymouth Voyager and as you may know the 1994-1995 Chrysler Minivans have Side Impact Beams in their doors, but not the 1991-1993s. Thing is I got all my Voyager's doors replaced a few years ago when I had the rust fixed and do not know the vintage of the doors, neither would the mechanic.
If I remove the door panels (I do not know if that is an easy task) can I tell just by looking whether or not these doors have Side Impact Beams? What exactly will I be looking for anyway once the panel is off?
All there is on my doors are window cranks which are easy enough to remove.

Yes you should be able to see them. Here's a diagram of what you're looking for. Scroll near bottom: http://www.allpar.com/model/m/1994.html
