Do you wear your seatbelt?

Just wondering out of curiousity because I know that a lot of people have a bad habit of not doing it. I think it is just plain stupid not too. Unless of course you are fearless, and will never die.
I always wear mine.
If you dont, please tell us why?

I do but my best friend doesn't. He is lazy and I always remind him to wear it even though he doesn't listen.

After owning a Renault LAguna , the words "Warning, your seatbelt is not buckled" will ring in my ears forever, so it's unlikely I'll ever forget

No, I dont...:( I never got used to wearing it, and I just dont feel comfortable in it. I can handle about 10 minutes of it after which it starts to get on my nerves...I wear it in other peoples cars, if they ask me to. Ironically, a few years ago, in my only ever car crash, it was the seatbelt that probably saved me from serious injury. I suppose the Higher Powers figured my life was worth saving, so they sent down a traffic police patrol a few hundred metres from the place where I was destined to crash, which caused me to put the belt on so I dont get pulled over by them. I ended up walking away with a few bumps and bruises, if I wasnt wearing it I'd probably have broken my neck. I tried to make a habit of wearing it after that but it didnt really work...

I always wear mine. Alex doesn't and I wish he would. He was in a head-on accident 5 years ago not wearing a belt and hit the windshield and that got him to wear it for awhile...then in the last couple years that stopped.

Same. I ALWAYS buckle up, its just habit. And if there is someone who wont buckle-up, then they dont cruise in my ride.

I always wear mine... and for as much of a B it is to have automatic seatbelts, it ensures that atleast half of my front passenger is buckled in. I always ask people to, but I can't sit there and monitor what everyone does when I'm driving. I just feel naked without my belt on... its like Linus' blankey!!!

I always do, and have since I was little. I feel wierd even moving the car in the driveway without it on. Feel like I'll slosh all around in the seat instead of being held in.

Always, always.
I don't drive until everyone is buckled. If someone doesn't want to, I ask three times; they can still say 'no'... I figure that'll stand up in court.

technically it's not your fault if the people are over 16 years old... then it's their responsibility so you won't get charged or get in any trouble
but me myself, i always wear my seatbelt. It's just so much more comfortable being strapped into your seat :D plus now it's just like a reflex i put it on once i get in any car automatically

It might not be your fault legally but deep inside you will feel horrible for life if you ever cause one of your friend to die.

the only reson im here typing in this fourm is due to a seat belt saving me from death. when you can manage to roll a beretta 3 times and walk away you tend to give some resect to that piece of nylon and use it always.

I wear mine most of the time. If I'm just cruising down to the grocery store or something close like that I usually dont. Its only a mile away and its a 25mph area. I'll take my chances that way.

I wouldn't put my life on the line so some kid that just got his lisence can put a end to it. Even with added protection of seatbelt driving is still pretty dangerous.

I always wear mine cause without it, i don't feel like i have control over the dang thing. even if you're going on a short trip, most accident occur within like 5 miles of your home.
one of my teachers was telling me that her daughter got in a accident where they were going about 20 but the other car was going 60 trying to catch up to a car of boys, and they hit some ice and whack! the girl in the back seat wasn't wearing her seatbelt and went strait into my teacher's daughters head. they both have permanent brain damage, but nothing too serious.

Hmmm. I suppose that is possible, if the car didnt have headrests. Or they both were so tall that their heads went straight over. But that would have to be REALLY tall, cuz I just tried imitating the effect in my car and I can't accomplish it. I'm 193 cm.

I actually would rather wear my seatbelt. It's just comfortable, especially when it locks under extreme conditions. And as for others in my car, I suggest it to people with a liscence, but insist if they don't.
