Announced out in December, 2011, this kit of C4 from Heller, announces a revival of the mark.
Of big effort were made at the level of the quality of the product. This kit is a very good working base and I am already delighted to see taking out the DS3 announced for 2012.
Some modifications were made with regard to an out of box. Opening of the aerations, the harness, crachet of towing and carbon as well as a board of décals from the Renaissance of excellent quality.
I benefited of a little snow and sun in spite of one 10 the thermometer for an outdoor photography session. I leave you judge for your comments

Good job, nice model and nice pictures !!
Unfortunately Renaissance missed some things (as often) in his transkit, the bonnet grilles shouldn't be deep in the intakes but at the top surface level.
the main bumper grille has the bottom part also sitting more to the front and not behind the small separation part as the top part, deeper.
That's details for the craziest accuracy maniac but the bonnet grilles are really visibly incorrect when so deep...
(I sanded under bonnet to solve the problem on mine and will make my own grille out of PE sheets)
I've also modified the ride height, a bit too high to me, and I'll use Tamiya wheels and brakes with modified suspensions and hubs.
But I hope to get a so clean result as on yours, especially with carbon.

Eric, thanks for the information, so I'm false, Renaissance saw them correctly ! ;)
I'm used to their subtle mistakes so talked to fast !!
I haven't finish to prepare my kit, will build the Solberg 2010 version, so I can't post pics yet.
Indeed I don't want to start the build itself till everything isn't modified and ready to be painted, glued etc.
I reduced ride height of 2mm for the front and 1 for the rear, that's pretty unnoticeable but gives the subtle change needed. Wheels aren't so close to fenders top on the C4, even on tarmac events.
Did you have fitting problem with rear wing ? mine doesn't fit perfectly on the base part... Thought to sand it a bit as it will be covered by the wing above and hidden by the glass under...
Still haven't finished with this kit !
Just hope finish result would be great, as the Solberg version is really nice IMO.
Once more, well done on yours ! The Tsjoen cars are always beautiful ! And he's not the last for spectacle ! :grinyes:
I remember his non-official jump contest with the other corolla guy (missing Rocco Theunissen) in germany on Gina's jump !! :eek7: :naughty:

No problem with aileron on two kits (Tsjoen and Solberg), on the other hand on the Tsjoen problem of rear window I have of to make a small fixation with the plastic card.
I also began with Soberg, but décals Colorado not planned for Heller, I wait for a piece of news decals to bring the corrections.
It is not you who put a chassis of Focus on C4?????
My Solberg and bad adjustement decals side and front

Damn, you do well showing me this pic and letting me know it as I would have trust colorado !!
No I didn't use a focus chassis, I haven't push forward to kit modifications and haven't really started the build so haven't published any pics anywhere.

First C4 I see built, and I like what I see.
I do concur with the others that, especially, the front ride height looks a bit off. But otherwise it's a great looking build.

Nice build!!! Sometimes you have to accept some inaccuracies in the kit and be grateful manufacturers are bringing out some new rally cars.
