Rodeo spark plug question

I went to my loca parts store to but the factory Denso k16pr-p11 plugs, but they do not carry them, but did have theDenso Iridium IK16 part # 5303 plugs. Does anyone know if these will work, without tripping the p0300 code?

Or should I go online and order the k16pr-p11 plugs?

People have used Autolite double platinums without causing problems with the ion sensing. Spark plugs are simple devices. Don't give them more credit than they deserve.

Thank you for the information. I had put in Bosch Iridiums the other day with no change, so today I went to get the Denso's. I havent put them in yet, but decided based on all of the helpul info on here in the forums, that I would start with changing the intake manifold gaskets first and the vacuum lines, fuel lines, and coolant lines under or behind the manifold while I have it apart.

After reading on here someone stated that the majority of the 3.2 motors that had been checked had bad manifold gaskets, I decided to change them to rule that out, and low and behold the drivers side gasket is in about 4 pieces, it was a good choice to change them.

Everyone on here has been so helpful with all of the posts and useful information, that I have been trying and checking to get this thing to run decent.

You can use NGK plugs in the place of factory Dens plugs. DO NOT USE ANY Autolite plugs in your vehicle. NGK is specifically made for import vehicles. Autolites are made for Fords. I have worked in auto parts for several years and I see this stuff daily. If you are not sure of the Denso plugs you bought, then use a factory NGK plug. It will provide the same fire for your vehicle as the Denso plugs without throwing codes.

Spark plugs are simple devices. It's wire encased in ceramic and steel. Nothing more.

Spark plugs can function, but not be "right". My 2001 3.2 pinged with a supposedly better Iridium plugs. When I reverted to the Owner's Manual specified OE, the ping diminished significantly. Izusu uses the plug as an in cylinder sensor so a plug that's not right on can send incorrect or at least less accurate information to the computer. Stick with what Isuzu specified as OE.
