air filter affect brake?

Hi guys,
I would like to ask if replacement of a clean and brand new filter will affect the brake pressure. Actually, after I replace the old dirty filter with a brand new high flow filter. The brake become a bit soft when step on it compared to a harder brake feeling with the old dirty feeling. There should be no big difference to the braking distance I guess.
Any idea of this?

There is no connection between air filter and brake system.

The vacuum creeps up as the filter clogs, raising vacuum boost pressure for the vacuum assisted brake booster whick could tend to cause you to have to press a little harder on the brake to get the same response. The K&N style filter will lower average vacuum in the manifold and decrease brake boost pressure.
I like the old reliable filters because they trap all the dirt before it becomes sandpaper to my cylinder walls.

Thanks lucyseabug, I've posted the same question to several forum, so far, only you reponse with a more logical answer.
After I run for a few days, the dirt build up on the air filter. The brake feeling become the same as before.
