stalls when put into reverse

hello i have an 02 rodeo 3.2 auto trans with 95k miles a couple times this month.ill start the truck and when i put it in reverse it will stumble and stall...it will start right back up but then stall again when put into reverse..i will do this a few times...as it's getting ready to stall i put it in nuetral and it will run find...after a few minutes the truck acts normal...the only CEL LIGHTS I HAVE ARE 401 AND A 135......i had the fluid changed at 80k miles and the guy at aamaco said it was black and isuzu's where notrious known for bad trannys any one have an idea

The intake manifold gasket is probably cracked (super common, I've had mine replace 3x).
When you put in gear cold the engine has a little more load on it and it is sucking air from the cracks in the gasket.
Once it warms up the cracks seal up a bit and it runs fine.
I think an old isuzu dealer (or Honda) dealer would charge about 350 to change one the gaskets.
Isuzu have bad tranny's if the owner don't change the fluid. The like 25-35k fluid swaps. I have 120k on my tranny and have never had an issue.

thanks i would have never thought to look there...is this something that i can tighting the bolts to get it a little tighter to help out for a while

If you tighten the bolts it will just make it worse....
