I have a 00 olds intrigue. Just bought a new keyfob and followed directions to program but after I insert the key the 3rd time and release the unlock switch, the 3 chirps never happen. I even tried pulling the bcm pgm fuse but didn't help. Pgm directions are, close dors, insert key turn to on, remove key, hold driver unlock button in unlock position while inserting and removing key 3x but don't turn ignition, leave in on 3rd time and let go of lock, then you should hear 3 chirps, after chirps press and hold keyfob lock & unlock together x 14 seconds then you will hear another chirp. I never get the first 3 chirps or anything after.

Well there is a youtube Video to program the keyless fob which is little different from your technique try those steps here is the link you might have better luck that way. Its for GM cars and Intrigue procedure is same.

Well, yes and no.....

There is nothing more frustrating than working on GM keyless entry systems.......you can have a Buick PA, but a Buick Regal might program a different way, and a Buick Century may program an even different way....some cars you have to pull a fuse and operate door locks....some you have to ground a lead usually located in the trunk.....and then if the year is different, that PA might not program the same way either....usually the 2000 and up cars couldn't be programmed by customers....they had to be programmed with a GM Tech II scan tool....

Even then you have to know what you are doing.....some cars can have 4 or more key fobs programmed......however, there can be an occasion where, if over the course of time, those four slots in the module have been used up(say fobs were lost and replaced), you can try to program until the cows come home and it isn't happening.......you have to remove the previously programmed fobs from the memory of the module, with a scan tool, before you can program a new fob.....FYI.....

Basically, all the new cars can't manually program key fobs....you need a GM scan tool to do it......

When it comes to programming, you really need a manual or disc or something like AllData, to know the specific procedure for programming a keyless fob......

Try this method: (I think you have 98-99 instructions)
Transmitter Programming Procedure (Method 1 - No Tools Required)
Close the vehicle doors.
Turn OFF the ignition.
Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.
Press and hold the driver side door lock switch to the unlock position.
Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and remove the key. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder.)
Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and remove the key. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder.)
Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder.) Leave the ignition key in the ignition lock cylinder.
Release the door lock switch. The body control module (BCM) will sound three chimes in order to verify the Program Mode has been activated.
Press the lock and unlock buttons on the keyless entry transmitter simultaneously for approximately 15 seconds. The BCM will sound three chimes in order to verify that the transmitter has been successfully programmed.
Perform the previous step to program up to four transmitters.
Remove the ignition key in order to exit the Program Mode.
Verify the proper operation of each transmitter.

Tech II-FYI got a 2007 buick rendezvous and was pleasantly surprise that I could program extra key fobs without a scan tool.
