I'm waiting for the Ken Block's decals to arrive, not that I'm happy to have to use the Simil'R kit but decals are made for it... :rolleyes:
I'm also expecting to have a big fight with the kit as I intend to correct the ugly square rear wing (still wondering how though :sly:)...

I love all the details you put in it.

You did an excellent job on it, as there is nothing on your pictures that points to a troublesome build.
The interior looks fantastic too. Nice and busy.

I have this kit too, but I'm still waiting for Renaissance (or any other manufacturer) to release the Stobart 2008 decals for the Galli Monte version...:smokin:

Awesome! Very nice final result.
I'm currently building the Simil'R Ford GT. It has many of the same fitment issues that make it frustrating to work with. If my final result is even close to looking this good I'll be very happy with it.

Fantastic job mate. It looks great with the Stobart livery. I must get this kit but it needs a little modding to bring it up to spec but no doubt all part of the fun!

I have ordered this kit and the same decals but after seeing this kit
and all the fitment issues ..sigh
I just might leave it in the nice to have pile!!!...lol

Beautiful build, are the pegs that mate the chassis and body made by the kit manufactuer? If so its about time someone started doing that in kits.

It is and yes it's one of the great idea of the kit (another one is the closed-or-opened doors)
Since I saw this build I took a new look at my focus kit, comparing the kit and my pictures from Germany and France rallies, and I think it's not impossible to reduce a bit the too large fenders without too many work... but it will require a lot of precision.

I'm also thinking to a crossed review of the Heller C4 and this Simil'R focus, intending to show what has to be redone or corrected or upgraded, but time lacks and it's hard to reviews mods without working on the kits ! :rolleyes:

I agree. This kit clearly has it's faults, but I've yet to see a bad build of the kit. It gives me plenty to be optomistic about for my build.

It looks very good in the Stobart livery. Great job.:smokin:

I don't know much about these cars, but I have to say there are some great details you have put in there.
Great clean execution!!!!!!
CF looks great, doors look so clean, lots of small touches that add so much!

It's not a big challenge to reduce the front fenders, but ther's a lot of extra work because of that! Need to put the suspension/undercarriage further in, axels made to narrower, etc... But I did it! :smokin:

just take a look at the corners of your bumper now, if you simply cut it it's not accurate anymore (too long straight section) as evefrything has been made by simil'R according to this false extension size...!
I'm working on it, eveything has to be sanded smaller... and you have to accept bumpers deepness accuracy sacrifice...
My main problem with this isn't the bumper and the width of fenders, but their fuc...g ugly square rear wing !!

Yes you're right, not so accurate, but better then before, but the rear wing... yes, it's sucks but probably I will leave it like as it is:crying:

I won't myself, because it's false on two points:
1- He's square !!
2- bottom section doesn't fit the glass !!

I would prefer not touch the front than let the wing like this...
Once painted and decaled the rear wing problem is more visible...
But as said, it's a question of sacrifice, a part of accuracy to earn another one... A everlasting problem in a sens !:runaround:
