No, I am not a fan of the BCS. I could go on for pages about all the reasons why but I'll leave the floor open for general airing of greivances in regards to the BCS and the state of college football. This has been discussed before, but not in a few years on AF.

I used to watch bowl games but this year I have watched 0 minutes of the 30 or so that have already happened. Somehow the San Diego County Credit Union Bowl just doesn't sound exciting to me. :dunno:

However I must admit, I do plan to tune into the so-called "Championship" game this coming Monday for at least a few minutes. :screwy:

BCS makes me think of the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich they serve at the hospital... It's pretty amazing and now I'm hungry for it...

If they replaced the current BCS with a chicken sammich it would be a huge upgrade

I had a chicken sandwich for lunch yesterday, made from left over dinner.


Took a really big pair of chicken tits, far bigger than normal chicken tits and stuffed them with a combination of tomato paste, spring onion, cream cheese, red wine sauce and some bread crumbs to hold it together.

Baked them in the oven with some small potatoes and served with a light salad.
Was a very nice, but too much to eat so had some stuff breast left over for lunch.

Whats the odds that they are having the BCS at work today?? Horray!!!

What a fantastic game to watch last night! I hope you were all watching..... the Bulls game that is.

The BCS championship game was even more terrible than I thought it would be. Snoozefest 21-0 with a whopping 1 TD the whole game. Glad I only subjected myself to about 15 total minutes of it.

The so called National Championship was rigged. It was a match for the ratings and more importantly the money, not a real champion. I think the BCS knows it's days are numbered and just said to themselves to hell with it lets go for the money, take what we can while we can.

Maybe we would hear about New Zealand sports a bit more often if there were a world cup for spanking the monkey.

College football needs a real playoff system. Sure it would take some reworking and time. But the current system has been in use since 1998, and was even worse before that.

I am definitely in favor of a playoff. I don't really understand the validity for arguments against one. How is it less fair to have to play your way through different competitors to get to a championship?? Just because you excelled during the regular season does not mean you will make it past those who didn't excel to the sasme degree. (Hello 2007 Patriots)

8 team playoffs need to become reality. It seems that after that travesty Monday, they finally decided its time but they will most likely go for a 4 team playoff first. Better than nothing, but I'm always a fan of seeing underdogs get a shot at beating the juggernauts. When you have the top two teams in the nation play each other and EVERYONE agres it was completely insufferable to watch, then its should be all the evidence needed to institute a playoff.

I'm talking about a regular playoff system like the pros. Top team from each division, throw in a couple of wildcards to make the pairings correct. You'd still have "bowls" but they'd be playoff games.

They need to do away with the polls and "other statistical methods" that are used to rank the teams. It's too subjective.

Well I figured the top 8 teams could be chosen for a three-round playoff would be the most agreeable system. I believe that would work out to a total of 7 games. There could still be 95 nonsense bowl games for corporate sponsors to still grasp for profits, and the playoffs for the top 8 teams could be separate.

Fuck the BCS right up it's corporate ass.
