Quadrajet #4984----What does it fit?

Carb is either new or remanufactured, is still in the Carter box and has no Rochester or Ford numbers anywhere. Thinking it might be for a Mopar, I went to the local library and looked in Mitchell's National Service Data books. The only model year for which any Carter listings began with 49xx was 1970, and 4984 didn't show up in Cars or Trucks. Maybe this was a service replacement application?

Does anyone recognize the number, or have an old parts catalog that lists it?

Thanks

Try this site for your id - www.thecarburetorshop.com/ (http://www.thecarburetorshop.com/) . Look at listings on top of page , then click on " carburetor identification " . Don't know if this will answer your question but may help ?
