code 23 mat below spec

have a 1995 s-10 pick up 2.2 standard service engine light comes on and code 23 air intake out of spec(iat)..(mat) scanner says -40 degree f . the thing is i cannot find the sensor? no were on air intake before throttle.
any clues would be appreciated. done some checking this truck does not have a iat?? but why then a code and scanner reads-40?

found problem!!seeing i do not know these vehicles , i found wires dangling by left tire well . twisted wires togerther and temp went to opposit 300 degrees.found sensor hole under air box by radiator. cannot see only felt it and found. replace sensor and wiring and now is ok
