Car Will Not Stay Started

I have an 02 3.8 GT with 95k on it. Has been driving fine and then out today and suddenly it will not stay started unless my foot is on the gas. It was fun getting it back home that way. I have cleaned IAC valve and cleaned MAF. I also unplugged MAF to see if it stayed started and it did not. I also tried a spare MAF sensor I have and that did not changed anything either. Fuel pressure regulator not leaking gas so I do not think it is that it was replaced last February. I replaced fuel filter about 11 months ago so I do not know if that could be the problem or maybe fuel pump. What should my next step be. Thanks for any help.

clean the throttle body out very well. That will usually cure it. any other symptoms?

What is the best way to clean the throttle body. Do you need to remove it?

I cleaned the throttle body and it did not fix the problem. Could it be the TPS or MAP sensor? I have not replaced either of these yet on the car.

Check for a vac leak....check vac line to the fuel pressure regulator for fuel....with snorkle removed, have someone start the vehicle and spray carb cleaner into intake.....if it runs as long as you spray, fuel problem...either pressure or delivery(injectors)...
have you checked for codes?
have you checked for codes?

I agree with everything tech II said, check fuel issue with some carb spray and look for vac leaks! Is the check engine light on? Also can you check fuel pressure? Pump maybe going bad

With the car off, unplug the MAF sensor and then start it to see if the car stays running. If it does, regardless if there is a code or not, it's bad and needs replacing.

The IAC was bad again. Replaced it and I am back in business. Thanks for the help.
