'93 Lesabre-oil level sensor?

OK, that didn't take long lol. I have a question. The people that sold me this car a couple years ago said that at one point the engine had been switched, but I have no idea from what type of vehicle. On the oil pan of my '93 Lesabre is what I believe is a broken off oil level sensor. It seems like an easy fix, and the part is available, however I see no plug or anything near the sensor that would go into it. I ran into something similar once with a '94 Park Avenue that I put a Lesabre engine in, and the temp gauge didn't work. (the guy helping me said the Lesabre obviously didn't have a temp gauge) He actually took the sensor off my old engine, removed a cap from the donor, found a bundle of wires near the top passenger side engine compartment and wired it in. It worked! I am not that gifted lol. The car runs and drives well (besides things I know about) and uses just a little oil between changes. The oil pan and aft of that do have some oil on them. Can anyone tell me if the broken off sensor is affecting the car negatively in a way I don't know about?
If it does need to be switched and then plugged in, how would I go about it? If it doesn't need to be switched, how do I seal it? It looks terrible and I want to make sure I do something about it while I'm down there. Thanks in advance and have a great day!

I don't think the '93 LeSabre was originally equipped with an oil level sensor, therefore no wiring harness, or ECM/PCM feedback from the sensor. Is the broken sensor leaking oil, or does it just look bad?
