Mazda protege 2001 automatic:
2 days ago my protege stopped starting up. By that I mean it worked fine and then I parked it, came back an hour later and it wouldn't start. Just a click and then nothing. Boosted it and it started. Drove it for about and hour and shut it off - started up fine. Let it sit for 30 min and back to same problem. Now I can't even get it started with a boost.
Decided to take battery in to get it checked out - passed initial load test but failed on the full test. So I buy a new battery and installed it. Same thing when I turn the key  - just a click. Never gets to the point of turning over. Decided to jump it just in case, still the same problem.
Seems to have all the powers there (lights, radio, etc). So I have a new battery in it but cannot get it to turn over at all.
appreciate all help

Sorry for late response this area is not getting much attention, you probably had this fixed by now but all the signs pointed to a failed starter.
