02 s10 4.3 start problems

my 2002 s10 4.3 want start unless u push the gas pedal down a little bit.Then it will start but if u don't hold the pedal down for a min at 1 to 2 thousand rpms it will die what mit be the problem.

Welcome to AF, a few things can cause this, faulty idle air control, or carboned up passages, coolant temp sensor skewed, a full scan should be done to look at sennsor inputs, I assume this is a cold start issue.

yes its a cold start problem.I used a scan tool and nothing poped up on the sacner the problem started after i had the intake manifold gasket replaced it run fine before.

No codes, but what do the int.and coolant temp sensors read when cold?

could it be a bad iac valve

it was the iac valve .I cleand it and unpluged the battery and it started right up and idles fine now
