I am looking at purchasing a 1998 Oldsmobile 88 LS with 81,000 miles. I've looked the car over and it appears to be in good condition. The only issue I'm really aware of with the 3800 Series II is coolant leaking from the lower intake manifold, but it looks like it's good on this one. The Carfax looks good as well. Anyone have any advice on particular things to look for?

Generally those were pretty good cars. You looked at the intake, check water pump, oil pans can leak. Brake wheel cyl's leak also.

Actually, it's usually the upper plenum(hole), throttle body gasket, or W/P's that leak....

Yeah, I knew that. Had a brain fart there for a moment. I meant to say upper.
