keyless entry

does anyone know if you can program the keyless entry system to accept a new remote? i want to change remotes so that the original won`t work. thanks

Usually, yes, but it needs to be done with a scanner. What are you working on? Not a snap-on scanner, a Tech II scanner at your local GM dealer.
