Hello, I am considering buying a 2003 CTS with a blown head gasket - 120000 miles.
I am not afraid of a head gasket repair being somewhat of a gear head. I am wondering if anyone can give me the low down on these Caddys.
The guy lists the engine as a 2.8L V6 -- is that possible?
Also, I saw the car fax report and it seems that this car was maintained every 3000 miles or so at a dealer -- BUT shortly after the report says that the transmission was flushed and changed, the 1 and only owner got rid of the car. Seems fishy to me -- are there any problems with these trannys?
I am looking for problems and this forum seems like a great place to find and/or look for any issues..
BTW - the guy wants $3100.00 for the car...Thats why I am suspicious..Thanks in advance..

The '03 CTS had a 2.6L or 3.2L. 3100.00 seems like a lot for that considering the miles and repair needed. I'm not aware of any major problems with the trans.
