2001 Ram 2500 Pickup - Fuel Pump

To replace the fuel pump - should I drop the tank or remove the bed? What is easier?

5.9 gas, short box extended cab (34 gal tank)

I've read one is as easy as the other except you can inspect the fuel and brake lines for corrosion if you pull the bed.
