(inside joke the Kiwi's should get ;) )

As for Taranaki, who would be scared of a hunk of rock with some snow on top?

Lomu is a 'nearly man'.He almost made it,but he's had his time.He didn't make the squad for our World Cup conquest this year.Watch out for Umunga and Nonu.

And BTW,I am the same height and weight as Lomu.

It's just .........distributed differently.:bloated:

I haven't seen Nonu play but I am familiar with Umunga.....he's a great player to watch.

Yeah, but can you use Michael Catz as a doormat like he did?
I think all his weight was between the ears.....solid wood :D

Unfortunately Americans don't appreciate rugby like us Southern Hemisphere folk, so I don't get to see too of it much over here.

Hopefully the World Cup will be somewhere on Cable though.....

As far as I can see it, once again the rugby world cup wil be going to one of the 3 southern hemisphere teams, us Aussie's the Kiwi's or South Africans.

I agree with Naki, "Fine by me" :D

I just hope the Amabokkebokke can do something more than they did the last world cup (happily remembers 1995  )

I expect to see a good final but of the Southern Hemisphere teams if I had to bet on any being in the final, right now it would be the All Blacks and Australia.

Not possible- if the two teams do meet it'll be in the Semi finals.

I pick the French vs The All Blacks for the final:cool:

You're right, I was just looking at the pools and they don't allow for them meeting in the final.

France seems to have a pretty easy group though....

Do you think they're working the pools so they are Northern Hemisphere vs. Southern Hemisphere in the later rounds?
Just throwing out a conspiracy theory.

You are refering to the Haka,an traditional Maori war challenge. Each tribe has its own haka, but the one used by the All Blacks is traditionally this one.

http://www.mp3dimension.com/NewZealandRugby/TheHaka/

Download it,Crank up the volume and enjoy!

we need a haka smiley.

We've got freeze frame haka smileys!! :p :o :eek2: :angryfire: Then of course, the smiley which shows what the Aussie's will do to them in the match!!!:monkeypis: Hooray!!! But its a bummer when teams like ours cant make the finals together. If we dont win it, I want it to go to NZ. :D

Its not a cheer, its a war dance ;)

Hmmm it should be interesting, unless bloody Suzie turns up in Oz.

Wouldnt surprise me, us and the Aussies have most of the South African population nowadays! :D :p

So, aside from motorsports, what sport do you enjoy watching?
Netball? :p

I'd rather watch rugby where the blokes take the hits like men instead of American Football where they wear all those pads......

I can respect that, at least the players don't hide behind pads, take the knocks, and when a team is crowned 'World Champion' they actually played teams from around the world.

Plus, I play soccer too....well, used to till I blew my knee out.

You mean Serie A right ;-) Me likes Inter

Even though I live in America, I've never really watched football. The first time I did, I was amazed at how boring and slow it was! (Championship games don't count) I mean, fuck me, it's like: 10 sec play, 2 min rest, 5 sec play, 10 min rest, etc...

Im a Serie-A fan too, Juve!!! have always liked them, not because they kick arse, I like the way they run the team, the players etc. I get sick of people who only support teams like Man-U just because they win. Thats not love for a team, thats a pathetic self indulged ego boost which really counts for JAXXOR!!!!! But as for rugby being ghey, get out on the field and tell the brick wall running at you that his sport is soft!!!

As our Prime minister of the time,Sir Rob Muldoon so succinctly put it

"Every New Zealander who elects to emigrate to Australia raises the average I.Q. of both countries in the process."

Anyways, back to Rugby.Theres an international at my local field on Monday,England versus the Maoris.Given that the best Maori players are always picked for the All Blacks and don't get to be part of this squad,I'd say that the team that takes the field on Monday night can't honestly be called an international grade side, but it will be interesting to see how England shape up in their warm up rounds.

Im cheering for england, not to win, but to see how many make it off the field alive.
