I want to buy a leveling kit for my 2008 crew cab 4x4 and am looking at a couple of different types in the amount of lift I want,1.5-2 inch. One type is bolted to the lower mount and the other obviously mounts to the top of the strut to give the lift. What I'd like to know is what type is the easiest to install and will an alignment be needed after install?

these vehicles with struts fail after 4 years. this is why the vehicle needs more front end lift. I would replace the front stuts and use heavy duty springs. this should bring it back to the correct height.
the pre 2007 vehicles 1500 type all had the torsion bars [4X4] which you can adjust. shims will make the ride poor .
