Anyone know if the climate control systems are interchangable? I have the standard climate control on my '05 2500HD and would like to change it out for the digital climate control, but I don't know if they are plug/play interchangable or not.

They cannot be interchanged. Differnent systems, different programming.

Ahhh! Dang. Didn't have any other reason to do it other than to kind of "upgrade" to the digital version. Just figured since '05s came with both digital and traditional I could just swap parts. Oh well, appreciate your help. Thanks.

in 2000 they had both . I have the manual control and the only issue was the defective blower resistor. it is a simple system, cheap to fix . digital is more failure prone.
if you want to spend some cash to upgrade, get a 2012 GMC PU.
