took almost a year on and off but finally finished. used all tamiya paints, maybe snuck in some model master flat black in areas. had a few mishaps with the decals on the left side, didnt take many pics of that side.

so the yellow masking is a really nice high grade rice paper based tape that is great for masking and sealing while not ruining the surface underneath. apparently i didnt use enough clear to seal the decals so a section was torn off with a little clear. i tried to fix it but its didnt come off like i had hoped...good to know for next time.

showing some of the wear on the decal on the A-side...actually looks worn due to natural weathering, but i prefer the clean B-side

brabham79 - you are being too critical. It looks fantastic - good job with the weathering - not over done. The pictures do not do your build the justice it deserves. Well done - John

brabham79 - if you do build the 312's I imagine you mean 1/12 - they would look great next to that kit. Maybe also consider other kits of that era. I do not have the BT44 kit, but I have been looking at getting one since you and racer93 have both done one and they look fantastic. That era "flat bottom" car was one of the best. Those cars were all motor and the parts needed to support it.- John

I have a 312T and 312T2 by Protar in 1/12. Once I get my feet fully back into building, I will do these. I plan on doing the 312T in Lauda livery and the 312T2 in Reggazoni livery.

Later,
Lee
