Hey, so last night i made my sister take me to walmart to get some Dupli-Color Chrome. I was waiting FOREVER to get some. So i go in and get it and take it to the register. The lady said do you have a parent hear and i said no, and she said you have to be 18 to buy it, so i made my sister come in and shes 16 so she couldnt buy it either. I asked why not? and she said how do i know you wont go sniff it or spray it on some inicent mans house. And i said its for a model, and she said yea, thats what they all say, and said have a nice night. Stupid old hag. Just wondering if this happened to anyone else?

Excuse my french, but, thats a load of bullshit. I go into stores all the time to buy paint and I'm 15. I walked into walmart yesterday and picked up 2 cans of primer then went to Ace harware and picked up clear coat and black paint then went to michaels and got some chrome. I would have gone to another register if I were you.

I am 16 and have had the same problem. I look for a young girl, I go up there and if she when she tells me I cant buy it I flirt with here alittle and say come on you can do it. Just his once for me. Or I know you are nicec enough to let me buy it. Some crap like that. I usually try and wear something that will make me look better like I dont wear a hat becauseI have wavy hair and chicks dig that and I wear a blue shirt because I have bright blue eyes. So if you jsut flirt or manipulate them alittle you can usually get away with it. :D hope this helps.

Flirt with an old GIESER!!! :lol2: :spit:
If I were you I'd walk back looking like I would look for another thing and go to another cash register and make your sister bring it to the cash register, or you.
Would look weird if your sister bought it.

I went to but some with my sister and shes 18, but doesn't look it and they actually asked for her license. Thats a dumb law anyway.

There are no laws in effect in my area that say you can't buy paint until you're 18, so if that old [website-edit] told me I couldn't buy paint, I'd be talking to her supervisor about it.

Welcome to our government protecting us from ourselves again. It depends where you live whether it is enforced or not. I live in Pennsylvania and went to Maryland and a girl asked me how old I was. I happen to be over 40! Some areas cannot even sell spray paint at all, like Los Angeles California for one.

I just use the self checkout to avoid any problems.

You can't buy paint until you are 18?
That's pretty stupid. By the way, have you tried buying hobby spray paints like Testors? If you can buy those, I don't see why you can't buy Dupli-Color paints.

There is no law saying that you have to be 18 to buy paint, its is just the store using their right to refuse service. If they think that a kid buying paint will use it as graffiti or whatever then they have the right not to sell products or paint to that individual. So it is just up to the store or the cashier.

Yeah, this has happened to me, but at a K-Mart. Luckily, my mom was with me. We were getting some Krylon chrome.
Actually, the paint does smell pretty good..:bloated:

Tell 'em that druggies/gangsters don't buy expensive spraypaint to get high off.
Just once I'd like to see someone buy a can of tamiya lacquer for $4.99 and go spray it on a brick wall. :silly2:

whats even funnier is, that you must have CO2 things to power the paint ball gun, and a 5 year old can buy them, but a 15 year old cant buy paint balls.
too many BS things like that in USA, im moving to canada

They sell spray-paints :bloated: . I'm 17 and I've been buying spray-cans at stores since I was 14, never been carded once. Alot of people tell me I look 20 so I think that playes a big part too. Why don't you just take one of your parents???

PS Where did you get this little buddy with his flag... do they have one with the Québec flag?

Weird, just had the same problem today. I went to K-Mart to buy some Primer, and they carded me. I said "fine than" and went to wal-mart and made it through just fine.
