Hello everyone, I've been getting a clunk around my drivers side area of my engine, I took my car in today to a local shop and they checked all my mounts and they say my front lower mount is bad. The clunk I'm hearing is in the left drivers side area...Could that front mount, which is on the right front reverberate throughout my engine so I get this clunking on my drivers side left? The shop wants $185.00 out the door to replace...A Friend and I will do it ourselves.
My struts and mounts are all new and front suspension is solid so that's why I immediately suspected my motor mounts or mount...
Thanks for any information!

Sure, it's possible.....could also be lot of other things.....
Exactly what are the conditions while driving, that creates this noise? Going over small or large bumps? Parking lot maneuvers? Shifting into gear?

I get the noise/clunk when I start the engine, also when I put it in gear, reverse, drive and again when accelerating and/or braking.

Bought an "Anchor" brand aftermarket lower mount and installed today....$27.00 shipped...Sure beats $185.00 for the shop to do..
Engine is once again tight.....No more clunks...
