How hard is it to replace the ignition coils in a 99 GM? Is there any instructions that anyone knows about on the web?
Thanks
Thanks

They are really simple. Unplug them, remove the mounting bolt (I think it is 1/4 inch or 7 mm) and pull coil from the plug well.

Thanks. I decided to do this myself as the quote from a local mechanic shop was around $1100.00 for all 8. I am going to get some off of ebay. I see 8 for around $70.00 and even motocraft for around $150.00. A couple of hours and I hope to save myself around $1000.00. Anybody have any comments on the generic brand you get off of eBay?

Again thanks Way 2 Old. I replaced them along with the plugs and found it to be an easy job. The reason I thought it would be harder is that a local garage was going to charge around $1100.00 for the same job. Absolutely absurd but, I didn't know all that was involved. A couple of hours of work and less than $200.00 worth of parts and, it was done. I mean, $1100.00! Can you believe it?
