Cracked right side mirror

The right side mirror on my 2011 grand caravan cracked yesterday.It was 18 degrees out and I turned on the rear defrost and the mirror cracked. It does have the heated mirrors I am thinking it must have been stressed when installed and cracked when it started to heat. I have a little over 10,000 miles on it and I am hoping it is covered under warranty. Has anyone else had this problem?

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a warning in your manual telling you not to turn on the defrost when it's below 30 deg - RIGHT WHEN YOU NEEED IT! Kidding, just kidding.

I've read of them cracking in fridged temps. Not sure about the Chrysler warranty but common sense tells us it should be covered. There I go again. Putting common sense and Chrysler in the same sentence.

I would not be surprised to see that either !! I agree common sense and Chrysler should not be used in the same sentence. I am taking it to the dealer on Friday.
