Okay so my car is actually an '88 or '89 civic hatchback standard with a dx d15 swapped in and a dx 5 speed transmission. First thing i want to do is remove some cheesy graphics and replace the worn out hood flat black factory style hood. I'm having a hard time finding a flat black hood online all im finding is carbon fiber anyone know where get get one? What's the proper way to remove decals?

You could buy an unpainted factory style hood and paint it flat black, as you wont really find place that sell specifically flat black hoods.

My suggestion: find a hood that matches. I never saw the point in flat black hoods that stand out from the rest of the car.(Don't look at my car, but the fenders don't match either)

Get a carbon hood then. Atleast then it serves a purpose other than getting your engine bay hotter than it already is. Granted I know I don't have money for carbon hood and would rather spend it on the motor, but having a flat black hood is just making it look like you have one and getting the bay hotter. Just my opinion on it.
