Does anyone know where the blower resistor is located i have searched all over the passenger side under the dash board. I even opened the blower cover where the blower is housed but no luck. Other videos of how to replace the resistor such as on you tube, show you how too, but only on 2002 or other years but none are the same console as my wife's 2000 dodge caravan SE has anyone ever changed one or knows where it is specifically located!

My info says the resistor block is under the hood, passenger side firewall.

Found this long thread in a 20 second search. 1996-2000 are all 3rd generation Caravans. It's mounted on the engine compartment firewall high on the passenger side. Location changed with advent of 4th gen vans (2001-2007). It's on the front of the HVAC plenum inside the van. Includes pictures:

You'll most likely need to change the pigtail/plug as well while you're in there. Caravans eat these parts like candy. While the fan motor will most likely still work, it is the cause of the failure usually as it draws too much power at lower speeds causing the resistor/wiring to overheat.

If the Resistor Block you replace doesn't give you at least 3 years of trouble-free service, consider replacing the Blower Motor AND the relay when your Resistor Block burns up next time. If the power pigtail is in bad shape, replace that too. Remember, you get what you pay for and, please pardon the cliches -- each of these components is a link in an electrical chain -- that chain is only as strong as its weakest link... been there, done that for 14 years and 300,000+ miles on my former GC/LE. You'll get what you pay for, and trouble for what you don't.
