Can anyone tell me if replacing this part is a huge job, other than just removing all associated parts around it? I’ve got a 2001 XLT Supercab and the passenger side radiator support assembly is completely rusted out at the bottom. I know I can buy the assembly, but I don’t know if it is a part that can be bolted in or will it need to be welded back into place? If anybody has run into this problem…I would appreciate some feedback. Thanks in advance

The radiator support is the main support structure of the front end of your truck . Pretty much everything on the front clip is connected ( directly or indirectly ) to that support . So yes , it is a big job especially with late model vehicles . The A/C condenser and radiator are just two things on the support as well as a multitude of other electrical and electronic devices and wiring . The support is also what supports and aligns the front fenders and hood . Their correct alignment is vital so your fenders and hood have the proper gaps with the doors and the cab . If you have the proper tools and expertise , you may be able to do the work yourself ! If not , I'd recommend taking it to a professional body shop for a proper fitment .
