Thinking of making one so it's easier for people to diagnose what their problem might be. Having trouble finding audio files. Thanks!

One suggested website would be www.soungle.com (http://www.soungle.com) . Put desired type of sound ( i.e. - car ) into the " search function " .

This is a great idea. I think it would be tough, however, to get some noises to record and then play back accurately, as many bad car noises can sound similar. Things like a clicking CV joint would be easy, but things like lifters ticking could be more problematic. Keep us posted if you find something / put one together.

Hi
Is good idea to create the audio database of car noises. But I think you should have experience on auto mechanic first, because you need to hear from the car owners the different noises they make trying to explain to you about the noises they car is making. The noises they are different in the car and the most what we know is cv's, wheel/bearing,squealing brakes, engine noise they are so many.may be we start with this one first.
