Regrets About Maxima

I have a couple regrets with the Maxima that I bought. I regret that it doesnt have a leather interior and I regrret that I got 17's instead of 18's. My question is do any of you have regrets about your Maxima or mods youve done?




( I got my car without leather because it was a manual, in great condition, and had only 46,000 miles on it and it is a 96. As of now only has 49,000 on it, YEAH):sun:

i regret mine is an auto, i regret having leather that shit burns man!!!! haahahhahaa
but mainly that i have an auto, if it wasn't for that than damn i would treat my car even more like a baby...

f*** the leather you got a 5 speed. ill rathar have the manual over leather. as of 17" yea i use to have them now on 18" and luv the bigger wheel. but its not 2 big of a deal

I have no regrets, except for the price. I feel like I stole this car for the price I got it at.;)

My regrets are that I got a 99 instead of spending a bit more and getting a 2K or newer. I also wish I had a darker color (black or blue) instead of tan. And a 5 spd would be nice but I wouldn't trade my leather for it. I love the leather. Only interior to go with.

my 2 regrets...that i didn't wait a year for the g35 6 speed sedan, and that i didn't get Nav. i guess the first one is a big one, but i still love my max

and i kinda regret my y pipe once in a while. it's a little on the obnoxiously loud side. i was driving hme from a party last night at around 4:00 and i drove past two cops sittin in a gas station talking and i saw them both start lookin my way when i drove by. i love the power i got from it. maybe i should get rid of the stillen muffler and get a 5th gen variable or something
and i kinds wish i got a 96 so i could have dual power seats instead of the slide passenger seat but i'd rather have obd 1.

everything has its trade offs; noise for speed, obd-1 instead of power seats(i consider this a trade off most people would probably say who cares about obd-1), ride comfort for a little drop in ride height(not in all cases but in most).

Just wish i had 5 speed:(

Your are missing something on the G35 sedan but it is nothing you whine about. On the one of tbe G35 forum some of the G owners were complaining that the new Max has better electronics in the car and a better Bose sound system(200 in the sedan 220 in coupe while Max gets 320watts?) Also another thing they disliked was the Max navi has better software softwares is on a cd but I think that will change for 2004 not sure tho. Just my .02 cents

What's so good about ODB-1?

My only regret is that my car is an Auto, but since my dad gave it to me, and the car I had before was 1990 dying Sentra, I'm definitely not complaining.

obd helps regulate your emissions and since the laws got more stirct in 96 the cars that are obd-2 are made to run cleaner and therefore affecting the cars overall performance. stock vs stock i'll bet you can't tell the difference but a modded obd-1'll get better gains from mods than an obd-2. go to the civic forums and ask kids why they try to swap in obd-1 ecu's and compatible heads. also, look at the valve cover on a 95 max and then a 96 and up. the 96+'s have four little sensors there that the 95 won't

only the 2k4 max has 320 watt system, and only cause it has a 2nd sub...but RWD is irreplaceable, as far as i'm concerned. oh well, maybe after i'm out of college

Leather + 5 Speed here. I really dont like the leather when cornering. My ass just slides. But other than that, prolly getting the muffler I got instead of just a nice tip.

What I regret the most is that I didn't buy a Max sooner, I had 2 Altimas prior to buying the Max and I wish I had bought one in 96 when I bought my second Altima. That is my only regret.

My regret is that its an auto. Thats all =-)
