I keep getting bank 1 senor 2 code, decided to replace o2 since it has 209k miles. The old one came out hard, theads were destroyed. Looked like they were melted. The bung on the pipe appears to be ok, but I cant get the new one started. I would like to chase the threads with a tap to install the new one. Went to Advanced auto and no can tell me what the threads are. They have a spark plug thread chaser and it looks close. Anyone know the htread size? Also, Have a code B1318 after they told me the alternator was bad and I replaced it. This code seems to have a host of all sorts of possibilities according to thier reader. Cant find anything on inernet to help reserch it. Any more ideas?

The battery voltage is not low at this time. Do any of the auto pats stores carry the thread chaser?

Have you cleared the code since you replaced the alternator???? Did you charge the battery to its full potential with a charger or did you let the alternator recharge it??
